Joonas Merelä is one of the first performance coaches in disc golf. He started coaching players full-time in 2021 and has been growing his knowledge ever since. 

Merelä incorporates studies from other projectile sports, like baseball and golf to the few studies made from disc golf. He has created a holistic approach to professional player coaching from this data and tops it up with the latest measuring technologies to verify and create more data on how disc golf should be taught. 

Merelä coaches the national disc golf teams of Finland and Sweden and is involved with numerous studies made on disc golf. He is also trusted by numerous touring professionals to take their training to the next level.
