In the course you learn:
What are the basic disc angles
Differences between flat, hyzer, and anhyzer angle
How to execute different shot shapes
Using your whole body to create a desired shot shape
What kind of discs to use for different angles
How and when to use these throws
In this course, you’ll build a strong foundation for forehand shot control by learning how release angles and trajectories shape the disc’s flight.
Avery guides you through the three essential forehand or sidearm release angles: flat, hyzer, and anhyzer. The Champ shows you how to apply each one with discs of different speeds. You’ll learn what these angles mean, why they matter, and how to use them intentionally on the course.
One of the most important skills you’ll develop is learning to throw putters flat with a forehand. This builds touch, control, and confidence that carries over to every disc in your bag.
From there, you’ll progress to shaping forehand shots with everything from putters to high-speed drivers.
By the end of the course, you’ll approach forehand shots with clarity and purpose. Repetition is key, so take these lessons to the field, put in the work, and start creating the shots you’ve been aiming for.

In these anhyzer shots, it is important to have a stack of identical discs at your disposal. Try to feel what you did, how you did it, and what kind of flight the disc had! Then make the adjustments to get to the wanted outcome.

Grab the stack of discs, preferably stable distance drivers. Learn by throwing the discs so follow Avery's advice and take notes on how the discs fly. If they flex out right early, add more power or angle. If they turn over too much, take some of the power off or release the disc flatter.
