In this course, you'll join professional disc golfers Sofia Donnecke and Thomas Gilbert as they take on the beautiful Albion Hills Conservation Park near Toronto, Ontario. As they play their way through the course, they share the thought process behind every decision, from selecting landing zones and shaping lines to managing risk and adapting to the challenges each hole presents.
Albion Hills is a stunning destination course built by ChainLink Disc Golf in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. Surrounded by lush forests, open meadows, and flowing waters, it provides the perfect setting to explore the strategic side of disc golf.
This is much more than a course preview. By following two touring professionals through a complete round, you'll gain practical insights into course management, shot selection, angle control, and tournament-style decision-making. You'll learn how to identify the shots that give you the best chance of success and how to transfer those lessons directly to your own game.

FAQ - Tactical Training at Albion Hills Albatross
Albion Hills Albatross is at Albion Hills Conservation Park, located near Toronto. It is operated by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, which is one of the largest environmental management agencies in Canada. Its address is 16500 Regional Road 50, Caledon, ON L7E 3E7.
Where is this course located?
Yes and no. Thomas talked about finishing his studies first at the University and then looking again for possibilities for a full-time touring. He is still going to compete at some of the tournaments, and naturally take part in USDGC, Worlds, and Canadian National Championships, and some of the DGPT tour stops.
Is Thomas Gilbert still touring?
Patent Pending is a throwing style used mainly in situations where you have an obstruction of some sort, either in front of you or for a right-handed thrower both right side (eliminating the possibility of a forehand shot) and in front. This style enables you to step sideways to the left and make the backhand shot while essentially facing backwards. It's very useful in scramble situations or sometimes even on fairways when you get stuck behind a tree.
The name allegedly comes from the fact that both Ken Climo and Barry Schulz claimed to have invented the shot. When they couldn't definitely prove which of them it was, they jokingly named as Patent Pending.
